Wheatley hamster

Species: Chinese Hamster

Wheatley is a 10 month old Chinese Hamster that came into rescue in March 2013 as his owner had too many pets. Wheatley is very easy to handle, although he is a little shy. He needs a home who has the time to build up his confidence. He was initially a little underweight but has put on some extra weight here and his coat condition has improved.

Wheatleys initial home became unsuitable as unfortuneately over the cold weather he developed some respiratory issues. Although he is recovering well his suspectibility to this meant he was no longer a fair choice as a child’s pet. He has found a niche with an experienced hamster owner who will be keeping a careful eye on him.
