Steppe Lemming Colony

Species: Steppe Lemming
Group: 13, Female
Arrived: 28 October 2011

Sanctuary - Crittery Resident

This mixed colony of Steppe Lemmings was 18 months upon arrival and came in October 2011 due to a house move. The males were separated and rehomed to Micklemarsh Mouse House, where the females stayed here. Due to their age, we felt they were best kept here and they lived out their lives as permenant Crittery residents.

These lemmings were lively, interesting little animals that were fascinating to watch and very very friendly. They loved their wheel and made some elaborate burrows.
